Windsor Spitfires looked way up north to take a skilled right winger in the 14th round of the 2025 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft.

Ty Dubreuil, a Sudbury product who played for the North Bay Under 16 Trappers of the Great North Under 18 Hockey League in ’24-25, stands in at 5 foot 10, 160 pounds. He is known for his smarts and skating ability while playing an all around game — and has a hard shot.

Dubreuil had 17 goals, 17 assists, 34 points in 32 regular season games for North Bay and added a goal in three playoff outings.

Spitfires scouting director Frank Evola gave his assessment of Dubreuil.

“He is a northern kid who plays hard and has some offensive flair,” Evola said. “We see some of those northern kids have that work ethic that can play a good role on our team at some point, if everything comes to fruition.”
