Spitfires via Sun County
Windsor Spitfires stayed close to home to snag Sun County Panthers defenseman Jordan Maine in the 15th round of the 2025 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft.
Regular season and playoffs included for the Panthers of the Under 16 AAA level Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario in ’24-25, Maine produced one goal, 19 assists, 20 points in 35 games.
Spitfires director of scouting Frank Evola commented on Windsor’s selection of Maine.
“He was one of the go-to guys on that team,” Evola said. “Maybe got overlooked … a little injured during the season, but fought through it and has a lot of potential. He still hasn’t reached his ceiling yet.”
