Froggett is in fine form
Third time just may be a charm. Goalie Carter Froggett has stood tall for the Spitfires in his third pre season since being Windsor’s sixth round pick at the 2022 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft.
The 6 foot 4, 215 pound Froggett has been the goalie of record in three of the Spitfires’ four exhibition game victories ahead of the start of the ’24-25 OHL regular season. An agile, athletic puck stopper, Froggett has a 3-0 record with a 3.00 goals against average and .882 save percentage and has thus positioned himself for an opening night roster spot in Windsor.
His play to date has followed two seasons of progression since being drafted by the Spitfires from the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs. Froggett has since played for the London Jr. Knights of the Under 18 level Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario and the London Nationals of the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League. He also got into two OHL games with the Spitfires in ’23-24.
Froggett put up good numbers in the GOJHL for London during the ’23-24 season. Regular season and playoffs included for the Nationals, Froggett fashioned a record of 19-6-0 with a 2.64 goals against average and .913 save percentage.
Now he seems ready for the next step to the OHL and the Spitfires.
