Open camp in Espanola
Espanola is where defenseman Conor Walton, currently in his second season with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League, developed during the ’22-23 campaign. And those same Espanola Paper Kings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League will be holding an open tryout camp on Saturday, April 26.
The one day camp is open to players born in 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2005.
Cost is $125 per player for six hours of ice. Espanola general manager Marc Gagnon noted that the six hours of ice will be divided into three separate sessions — 9-11 a.m., 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Exit interviews will be held at 7:30 p.m.
