Jr. Spits to Ottawa 67’s
Local lad Reid Hayes has become an Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft pick of the Ottawa 67’s. The 6 foot, 160 pound, right hand shooting centre was Ottawa’s third round pick at the 2025 OHL priority selections process.
Regular season and playoffs included, Hayes netted 25 goals, 33 assists, 58 points in 32 games for the Windsor Jr. Spitfires of the Under 16 level Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario in ’24-25.
U16 Jr. Spitfires head coach Matt Zuccato took note of the assets that Hayes possesses.
“Reid’s compete level is elite, he works extremely hard and is very creative. He’s a great teammate and leader,” Zuccato relayed to Hockey News Windsor.
